Mt. Pleasant’s vision is to Live by Faith, Share the Hope, and Be Known by Love. We are a mission minded church that lives out the Acts 1:8 challenge with our mission to impact and engage our community in faith, hope and love. We are affiliated with the Illinois Baptist State Association (IBSA), the regional Macoupin Baptist Association (MBA), and the Southern Baptist Convention.
Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church is a multi-generational congregation which God has provided a newer church building (2017). While located in West Central Illinois, in an agriculturally rich region just 40 miles north of the St. Louis Metro area, our membership extends to several local communities.
We are searching for:
We are looking for a pastor who can support our ministries full time, but we are open to a bi-vocational pastor with God’s direction. This is a single-staff position.
Bible college or seminary training is preferred. Previous church leadership experience will also be taken into account.
