Summary The Security Specialist is responsible for executing security, first aid, and emergency medical duties to protect the lives and property of Guests, Associates, and the entire facility, while providing excellent Guest Service. Essential Duties Maintain knowledge of Grand Casino facilities, marketing events, and promotions to advise Guests and Associates. Provide reports on security/medical incidents involving Guests, Associates, or the facility. Ensure safe transportation of Company assets. Request identification from persons under 21 to ensure compliance with gaming regulations. Attend to medical needs of Guests and Associates. Ensure proper identification of vendors and contractors. Communicate with departments during emergencies or urgent situations. Maintain inventory of medical supplies, oxygen, wheelchairs, and first aid items. Be familiar with hazardous materials and applicable laws and regulations. Understand property fire protection systems and response protocols. Conduct inspections to ensure OSHA standards and other regulations are followed. Competencies Demonstrate positive Guest Service skills. Model company values and behaviors. Read and understand safety rules, instructions, and manuals. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills. Apply reasoning to various situations and carry out instructions effectively. Education and Experience High School diploma or GED required. EMTs or EMRs must have completed a recognized course. Successful completion of a state-recognized EMT course.
